The 5-port splitter measures 1 ¼” wide by 1 ½” tall. The 9’ cable would plug into the 5-port splitter. This would allow you to extend further distances or plug in one 9’ power cable and 3 to 4 lights. Four lights can be plugged in if it is at the last of light run and no continuing power is necessary to a second 5-port splitter.
