You really only need one or the other, as they both power DEKOR lights. However, both can be used: the photocell timer is for outdoor use only and will power on/off when sunlight hits the sensor or the absence of sunlight exists. The dimmer, which is only used for indoor applications, can be used to dim the lights when lights come on as a result of using the photocell timer and the sunlight hitting the sensor.
