DEKOR Lighting's Dek Dots have an UL and a CSA listing through Intertek (ETL). The Dek Dots draw watts from a 12v DC system and have minimal heat transfer, therefore, can be approved for this application. However, if the wiring is embedded into a wall, they must cut the PLUGNPLAY connectors, and hard wire with ‘in wall’ rated wiring. This wiring is available at most big box store locations. The brand of wiring has no bearing as long as it carries a CL2 or CL3 rating.
