I understand that the wire can be buried in the ground and should be at leave 6" deep. Suggestions?

The wire does not need to be shielded within conduit or some other protection?

Our HD wiring and connectors are rated for direct burial and we highly recommend at least 6” below the grade. When burring the connectors, the provided dielectric grease must be applied at each connection prior to covering.
