Your are correct. The Motion Control+ has a photocell built in so having an additional photocell to turn off the transformer is unnecessary.
I have an EZ Photocell Timer and a Photocell Motion Controller connected in series in a new Trex deck with lighting EZ Photocell Timer
I don't think I need both. Should I bypass the EZ Photocell and connect the light string to the Motion Controller?
